what on earth are you studying in college? psychology and programming? seems like an odd choice.
are the storm of swords books any good - i've been tempted by them a few times, but never bothered. i don't really like books involving battles and they seemed to involve lots of battles and wars and stuff.

And I've only got one class that meets face-to-face this semester, Esci 101, and it's in the BA building of all places. Huh. We blow how much money on a new science building, and then stick science classes in BA. WTF. I'll be around the Lit & Lang building, though, in the writing center all semester, though.

"As for the Song of Ice and Fire books, although there are wars breaking out (and probably bigger ones to come), most of the chapters aren't specifically focused on the fighting. There are tons and tons of characters to keep track of...a majority of the stuff is either people traveling from one place to another or having hushed conversations behind everyone else's back. If it weren't for some of the fantastical elements it could almost be considered medieval history...though considerably more interesting than a textbook. The sex/violence/language is pretty graphic, but most of the time it fits with the realistic feel of the world. Not all the likeable characters live, not all the unlikeable ones die. So far the first book has been my favorite. I'd suggest maybe reading a few chapters to see what you think at least."
