People who have a hard time driving period should NOT be driving big fucking land barges that even skilled drivers have issues with. And yet, those drivers are almost always the ones behind the wheels of land yachts because they have to be old in order to afford them, or something.
Who knows, I feel for ya. *hug* I've been in two hit-and-runs, both in my Olds, and the one which actually damaged my car has never been caught to my knowledge... The other didn't actually damage it but fucked up his truck pretty bad, so I let it slide.
Hopefully that shiny Cadillac isn't so shiny anymore and won't be again without valid insurance.
Hearing you say that you've had that thing for ten years and this is the first time it has happened makes me very angry. I've had 2 hit and runs on my brand new car in less than a year.
My grandfather gave up driving willingly some ten years ago. He knew his reflexes were not what they once had been and didn't want something like this (or worse) to happen. I know elderly drivers would miss the freedom driving gives them but at the same time it's not a good idea to keep driving once you're too old to react well to obstacles.
