And to answer your question, most recently i have primarily gamed on the DS, so my gaming position is one that involves hunching and a sore upper back. I would say that the majority of my hours gaming were on the NES and Genesis, and those were primarily done while sitting in an armchair in the sunroom, looking up at the tv that was on top of a cabinet, and listening to afternoon talk shows that were playing on the t.v. that was in the other room.

I like your gaming setup. I imagine that if the screen was mounted higher up, it would be less painful. The other night I gamed in bed while lying on my stomach with my elbows on some pillows. I had a mouse on a mouse pad on top of a small wooden cutting board on my right and my laptop on my left. It was horribly uncomfortable, but I didn't want to leave the warmth of my bed to game.

Fantastic youtube comment. Downloading spec ops the line right now!

I sit in front of a 55" screen, which is about 4.5' in the air, and recline in a lazy boy. Sometimes I get swamp butt.
