Why are things so heavy in the future? Is there a problem with the earth's gravitational pull?

Ah, sickness, wonderfulness. Not that I'm surprised, I've been playing chicken with all sorts of bugs these past few months, add to that, my lack of sleeping, and sure it was bound to happen sooner or later, thankfully I think I've made a decent recovery, one day in bed will usually cure normal colds, and flus, thankfully this is not a reprise of ( Read more... )

Hmmm... Where would I go in time?

I think I'd be right there with you in the 30-40's. Hope you don't mind the company... But I love everything about that time.

Personally, I did liked being a kid in the 80's - it was like Halloween everday with those hair and sock styles. The 90's however, I would have skipped over. :: shrugs :: Did anything good (excluding Nirvana) even happen during the 90's?

1930-40...sounds like a good time...calling people wiseguy and tommy guns, prohibition (was that pre 1930?)zoot suits, all sorts of heel-kicking and heavy petting. malt-sharing not until the 50s though, am i right? i rarely am.

to live in the 80's in your 20's, i thought about that once...there'd be lots of coke and big hair and the whole space exploration-obsessions partially fueled by reagans policies. some of the best SCI FI camp came out then. flight of the navigator...ET...invaders form mars... i always thought living in the 80s in my 20s would be like being matthew broderick in wargames. though thats probably a gross romanticization of an extremely cheesey and internationally nervous time. acid washed jordache?

so to answer the poll you presented, i guess i'd like to live as a 20 yr old in the 60s...kickass music, free-love, mind expanding drugs...of course look at the resultant adults. this would have to be a consequence free journey.

Feel better. eat some zinc glutinate tablets, they help alot.

..my own age now, in the late sixties, right around 'nam....being united with my generation and fighting against a cause, and having a hell of agreat time while I am at it...not to mention the swinging art and music scene of the time...

1973....right around this age too....the only time period when good music and ideas were popular and widespread.
