Ohaycon 3

So Sunday we get up to go to Jeff's second dubbing workshop. KC, Jamie and I are the first ones to read out a scene that involves Yukino and her two sisters. Teehee. After that I decide to run out to track down Sad. I make a run around the whole convention center and just as I'm getting back to the panel room... there's Sad with her group almost right outside the doors! LE GASP. So I talk to her, get KC, and come back out so we can give Sad her Christmas gifts! Yay! It was good! We chatted for a bit, Sad wrote in my event book, then left as she had to go check out. KC and I went back to the panel to rejoin Jamie.

We talked with Jeff for a bit after the panel. He apparently does graphic design work as well and put together Ohayocon's program, so we critiqued that a little and he and Jamie went to town discussing type and programs. We finally bid farewell to Jeff and headed to the vendors one last time.

I wanted to get a little Cardcaptor Sakura figure. KC stayed out in the artists alley and Jamie walked with me as I pricechecked until... she realised she had lost her coat. OH NOES! She went off to find that, I bought Sakura. We met up again and she still hadn't found her coat. D= SOBS We did see angrykeebler and lawofar in the dealers room though.

We went out to the artists alley and talked to the guys doing the anthro comic again. They had stickers this time, so we each bought a couple. Just as I was picking out which ones I wanted I heard a loud "JAMIE" and looked up to see Sad waving at me. I guess I didn't register the times she yelled Jammer. LAWL. So I went over to talk to her and TeaRoses for a bit. Jamie came by later and showed us a commission she had the guys do of her "dreamkeeper" and told us KC was getting one done. Hers looked really cool! She went back and I talked some more with Sad until it was time for her to go pick up her bags.

I went back to the one table... the comic is actually called "Dreamkeepers" by the way. We talked more with the two guys and I ended up getting a commission done too. They wanted us to scan the drawings and send them to them so that they can draw them in as background characters in one of their books! Sounds cool anyways. It was only their second convention I guess and I think their first time having a panel, so the guy didn't know what to charge me. He suggested $10 and I said, "Yes, you're a good artist! You deserve $10!" Lots of artists tend to sell themselves short, so lawl, I hope he remembers what I said!

We talked to them so long that they decided to give us all a free print and signed them. I told the one guy he had to DATE my commission, so he dated the prints too, it was funny! Anyways, I wish them success!

From there we went and got some food. Jamie and I got ice cream, because... OMG ICE CREAM. After eating we walked back to the van and headed back home.

Ohayocon was a very, very fun weekend, but very tiring! Especially with all the walking we did. I'm still feeling that. But it was worth it!

The new semester at school has started. I think I may enjoy this one more than last. At least I better! The Anthropology teacher reminds me of Jeff, and I get to work on my site AND comic for my classes with Bill. My Friday class I cannot comment on yet though... as Friday is tomorrow. WHAT WILL HAPPEN?!
