Wow - it really feels like the end of an era. Watching IY on Adult Swim was how I got into it, too. The anime led to the manga and fandom and eventually led me here. This is quite sad (even though I own the entire series on DVD - maybe its time to invest in the Final Act? :P).

i watched one episode while taking care of an elderly relative while her immediate family went away for a week. i bought the series and hadn't watched it on television since (i refuse to watch dubs and had stopped watching television at home before that anyway) so i personally won't miss it. to find new things to watch, i look at online sites that show anime and have a few friends who preview/review and recommend anime.

They actually just started airing it last week. Yesterday (Saturday 11/22) was the "Kagura's Wind" Episode, so I guess you got your wish.

I used InuYasha as a comfort blanket when I was little, it meant mom would be home by the end of an episode, or soon after. :) So it's a precious series to me, theres just something about catching it aired that is different than when you watch it on dvd.

Sorry, came here looking for a story and saw the tag, thought I'd tell you since you seemed dissapointed that it seemed unlikely.
