There is something very interesting about black and white photos in that you can focus more on texture because color is not distracting you. The texture of that door (especially the close up!) is great! :)

Thank you. I love doing black and whites. There's a whole other artistic feel to it.

This is one of my favorite pics of Steph when she was about 18 months old. Thanks.

Lovely photos! You have quite a talent for this.
I'm so glad to see you posting on LJ again.
Thank God your grandbaby was strong!

The first photo is adorable, is Stephanie your daughter?
I love the b&w of the tiled globe too --what is that thing?

It's great, you're happy + doing your photography!
>>HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Thanks for your comments. It's great to be feeling artistic again. It's really important to me. The first photo is of my daughter Stephanie, Ceilidh's moma. I can tell already that Ceilidh is going to look a lot like her mommy. The globe is a part of a lighted sculpture near the hospital my granddaughter is in. It's very beautiful in the daytime, but this picture is taken at night. At night it is lit and even more lovely. Hope you had a nice holiday. Happy New year to you too. ;)

It's so great to have you back and enjoy your pictures - I actually set the pic of the locked door to my desktop, hope you don't mind, if you do, let me know and I'll remove it but it's lovely.
Your little girl is beautiful - if your grandbaby is as pretty as her mama, she will be gorgeous forever.
We are all SO THANKFUL your grandbaby is fine now, Praise the Lord!
*hugs*
You are a great photographer and I know you've missed doing it.... welcome home sweetie!
