Lo, I return covered in glory
I have now returned from the Company Day.
As part of this, every department had to make a video introducing every member. Being me, I got a bit bored one afternoon and decided to introduce myself as 'the very model of a modern author technical' (with some truly appalling acts of butchery of the English language).
I am the very model of a modern author technical
I write about the GUI and the process analytical
I sprint beside the dev team and I notify Mpirical
Of changes that make updates to their training inevitable
I like to know what GEO's used for by the user typical
And what makes upgrade hard and what the customers find difficult
And every month or so I like to demonstrate my clairvoyance
With many cheerful facts about the bugs fixed in the maintenance
...I can only assume that the company is mysteriously lacking in literary ability, given both the spontaneous round of applause after my part of the video and the number of compliments and handshakes from increasingly drunk and increasingly senior colleagues.
If only there were a career in hideous doggerel...
