okay so i never went to lang (thank god) and i cant rightfully post a new entry in this community but i was just wondering why no one is living at williams st? have you seen the dorm? its beautiful.
i cannot believe they even let people live at marlton. god its a sickhole. i knew two people freshman year that lived there and i just couldnt figure out for the life of me why anyone would choose to live there. communal bathrooms? gross. what are we, fordham university?
well, to answer both questions -- why we're not in williams street and why some of us are in marlton -- is because they don't actually give you a choice. they technically do (you pick your top 3 choices) but the deciding factor is how much space there is. and williams street is for transfers, upperclassmen, and a few lucky freshmen who have nowhere else to be placed.
i got marlton and i don't have a communal bathroom. some of the dorms have baths.
listen, i know how it works, but william st is easy to get. or was when i lived there. but i also lived there the first year, that could have something to do with it.
marlton is sick. have you seen it? its new schools answer to sva's george washington, only worse.
well, hey. first of all, marlton isnt sick. its old. its the people who live in each area who choose to make it "sick." its not cheap at all, in fact, with probably any other group of students, it would be considered meta cool for how urban and historical it is. that place has a great vibe
( ... )
got me there. and being a parsons GRADUATE, you must know so much more than anyone else regarding the way the system works. i bow to your superior mind.
I'm sorry, but so far this community has really worked to help one another and answer questions and the like...there's really no reason for anyone not involved to post a petty, negative comment that will only serve to add new concerns to incoming students. I'm not going to get farther involved, I'm just really hoping that this community can stay the same and not turn into what many of the other NS ones have become. Thanks.
