ROTFLM*A*O! That was priceless...I loved the John/Elizabeth fliting (of course!) but the Carter vs McKay bottle rocket competition is an image that's going to stay with me for a long time!! I could just picture poor Zelenka get roped in as McKay's long suffering second. :D :D

I have a ridiculous grin on my face now. Heeeee!

yay for ridiculous grins! they are one of my favorite parts of posting fics :)

Zelenka probably keeps secret notes on McKay so that one day he can take over the world while McKay acts as his second. He obviously wasn't allowed much say in actual rocket construction ;)

ah. yes. so I can just pretend that I was waiting to finish this when there hadn't been anything in the 'verse for a bit. yeah...

it's one of my favorite AUs, and I had the hardest time writing this because I was afraid I would break the 'verse. I'm glad to know you enjoyed it

This was perfect!

I love the idea of the competition and John and Elizabeth writing the rules was just fantastic!! Yay for flirting and heads almost knocking.

The McKay/Carter snark was great and of course Rodney is sneaking off to steal stuff. He's Rodney!

Poor Peter, the boy really does need a raise. :-)

The crowd was too quiet, though John supposed the lack of screaming meant that nobody had caught fire. That had to be a good thing.

This whole section just made me giggle. So great!!

I love the idea Sam put a parachute on hers and McKay's blew up.

I'm so glad you liked it! :D

Rodney has to ensure that he either gets at least some time in the labs (by holding items hostage) or is able to make his own fully working advanced physics lab in his basement. (which Zelenka totally knows about and is only helping to make sure that Rodney doesn't attempt world domination. it's a noble job, really)

you know that McKay would go completely overboard in his design plans and things would explode. Not sure he would have thought of a parachute even if it had made it past initial burn
