There are too many damn good lines in this to quote, but I have to say that I loved the pumpkins being named Bert and Ernie. And that John was disappointed he didn't think of it first.

Hee. He'd totally be jealous Elizabeth came up with that first.

this is wonderful. and just the perfect thing for the end of my Halloween.
it's all the little things you put in there. the snickers vs Milky Way disagreement. the various costumes. the bits about decorating... *love* and then, of course, there is the blindingly hot bit. that was ...YES too. :) I now have this great need to see John dressed as a pirate...

I now have this great need to see John dressed as a pirate...

I thought to myself, "Is there anything hotter than John dressed as a pirate?"

And my brain went, "John and Elizabeth *both* dressed as pirates?"

She caught them staring and quirked an eyebrow at them. "Oh, like you haven't all thought it before," she said wryly.

*splorfs* Love that line. ;)

Someday when I have classes on Halloween, I'm totally wearing the black hat and saying that to my students. *g*

I'll probably get that too once I'll be a teacher... Students are like that all around the world I guess...
