I think I disagree with only being able to have what people are willing to give. The only things I aspire to have (or for the most part, have now) are things that I have given myself.

As for dreams, they can be something to aspire to (within reason of course). And I don't think anyone ever remembers the bulk of their dreams, just the part that have some meaning - if obscure - meaning in your life.

ie. you can't take love.
