I feel legitimate guilt for those of you who have stuck with me from the beginning or middle because sometimes the wait between chapters was long. Gomen ne....

You shouldn't - we all know Life Happens, and I think we all understand that ;) The fact that your story was compelling enough to keep us coming back even after all these years speaks to the strength of your storytelling abilities, and what you've created with this universe. Kudos! =)

By inserting himself into her life, Sesshomaru effectively destroyed everything that he loved about her. Perhaps the true tragedy of it is that he has no idea.

Such an interesting, cynical take on his character - so diametrically opposed to my own tendencies for him. Maybe this is why I like the way you write him so much. Seriously - you're my favorite when it comes to him. I like your take on him more than my own, LOL!

And like I said in my review, I'm glad you didn't "rectify" the ending, to bring Sesshoumaru and Rin back together. The damage had very obviously been done, and I think ( ... )

Thank you thank you! Your comments re: LSR mean so much! I've always had difficulty writing Sesshomaru. He doesn't come easy, but he's a fun challenge so I find myself coming back to him time after time. Sometimes I worry that I'm a little too cynical towards his character, but then I read reviews like yours and think that maybe I'm doing okay. Your reassurances are much appreciated :D ( ... )

Congratulations on finishing your story. I was a little surprised by Rin at the end, though I should not have been.Given what she went through and her contact with Sesshoumaru's world it would be surprising if she did not change. I wonder what Sesshoumaru would think of the new Rin. His effort to protect her from his world was the only thing that changed about him. He was Yakuza at the beginning and Yakuza at the end. Rin was only untainted part of his life. Now she has embraced that part of his world just like Kagura did. Great story. I will miss it,but I hate stories that are never finished more. I have always liked the fact that you finished your stories. Good luck on your Kohaku/Rin story. I just finished a Inuyasha/Rin story which I had been working on for 3 years.

Thank you! I'm glad you were able to take so much away from those last couple of chapters. I received a few comments from readers about how Rin seemed really out of character in the last scene, but I'm glad that at least a few got what I was aiming for. I honestly don't know if Sesshomaru would like the new Rin. I think her appeal to him was that she was so different from everyone else in his world. She was like a bit of light that was all his own. He despised Kagura so I could probably see him following the same path with Rin had they remained together. It's an interesting point to consider though. Did he care about Rin because of who she was or what she was? Hmmm ( ... )
