Dad insisted that we go out and get me some tofu dish from a Thai restaurant since I do not eat turkey.

Mom got mad at that saying that I SHOULD eat turkey.

Dad and I are going to pick up a tofu dish.

Aww... I love my dad. And I'm thankful that he understands me.

for some reason I find this entry hillarious. I thought your parents had gotten that you were a vegetarian. but you should eat turkey anyway, right? when we were in russia they assumed that vegetarian meant not eating meat (i.e. fish is ok) and sometimes they thought vegetarians would eat chicken. go figure...
