What do you do for a living?

What do your parents do for a living?

Do you think what your parents do/did for a living had any effect on your interests or career choice?

I don't do anything. I'm supposed to make jewelry, but I don't.

My mom never had a job except in high school and she restocked a little grocery store and got a free cheese sandwich from the deli everyday

My dad runs a corporation that supplies hardware, home improvement things, tiling, carpet, lumber stuff like that

I guess my dad had a job where he had to work hard and do a lot of stuff and I didn't want to do that, but he made a lot of money relatively easy I guess and I did want that *shrug*

My mother was a chemical engineer but is retired. My step-father was mostly a high school teacher. My biological father worked mostly in government.

It did in that I knew that men could be teachers and make a decent living. All my parents had good educations and that's a starting point.
