I ordered an 80gb classic in silver. :) I never name things until we've had the chance to be properly introduced - but ever since law school, my names have been straight-prosaic (e.g., the dell(s) were known as "baby dell"). :P

I got about four hours before getting up to rock the law. I'm not going to lie, I got an iced-"red eye" (venti coffee with a shot of espresso) and I'm *still* exhausted. But caffeine and eboost shall see me through! Rawr! ;-)

At the very least, the library is quiet and *air-conditioned!*

my U2 ipod is called macphisto and my shuffle is called jim, because i exclusively use him at the ... gym. :)

that's exactly what i did, too. i didn't want to run the risk of dropping or breaking my U2 ipod, especially as they don't make them any more, so i bought a shuffle, which is still yet-to-be-programmed.
