So, it's been around a month since my last entry.  Looks like I'm going to need to do 2 PS posts this month. ;) Things have been busy for me, and I've got a lot f planning to do for next year.  With that said, the new Fall season of television has started.  I don't watch a whole lot of tv, but I was excited to see Person of Interest come back and I ( Read more... )

I've watched the first two episodes of 666 park avenue, and I think it's awesome if you like supernatural stuff. It's on ABC...I rarely catch shows at the time of their development because of my work schedule, but yay for dvr this year :D

I love like The Voice, and used to like American Idol, but I am against Glee. Bah. I don't like musicals though.

I used to watch American Idol too, but I stopped watching it years ago when it became so commercialized. I haven't watched an episode of The Voice, but I've heard good things about it. One thing it already has on its side without me having seen it is knowing that the judges can actually sing on a singing contest called The Voice. Seems like that would be a given, but Paula, JLo, Britney (whom all I like)... ;)

I like musicals, but Glee is just bad, save for a few numbers here and there and on the occasion that they actually manage to make a decent point.

I'll check out 666 Park and report back to you. :)

I enjoyed season 1 of PoI but I am really enjoying season 2. Though I'm thankful that the ended the where is Finch story arc it would have been overkill to stretch it another episode.

We are enjoying Elementary but both my husband and I like a snarky character like that and it is a fun take on a classic.

Yes, I agree about the Finch storyline. I was afraid that if it went any further that it would end up like a Misery situation (the movie with Kathy Bates). Reese got him out in the nick of time, imo, because Root was still in the "you're just tired" phase of her insanity and not yet at the "if I can't have you, NO ONE can!" part. I'm not-so-patiently waiting on the next episode. :)

Elementary, that's the one about a modern day Sherlock with Watson played by Lucy Liu, IIRC. I think I read mixed reviews about it (but I've heard some of that is due to people liking the BBC version of Sherlock), but I'll try out the premiere. :)

If it had lasted any longer they would have lost - a lot like how The Mentalist has with the red john storyline.

That is the one and I think a lot of the mixed reviews have to do with 1) Watson is being played by a woman and 2) there is a great love for the BBC Sherlock which I haven't had a chance to watch but heard is good. The premiere is just that but it was a bad one we enjoyed the second episode as well.

I've seen the Mentalist, and I like the guy that plays the lead :), but I never got into it. What I saw of it was good, though. That's kind of like Criminal Minds for me. I have a friend that absolutely loves that show, and every time I see it with her it's good but I never watch it on my own.

I think that with Elementary, people should look at it as being "based on" Sherlock and not as a remake of a classic, which is what the BBC seems to be doing. I think that's the difference. If people tried to see it that way before viewing, then I wonder if their opinions might have changed.
