So. I'm doing a thing for my Statistics class. And basically what it comes down to is what are the most well-known species from Star Trek? So please, give me the first three races that you think of that aren't "human," in order

Ooh! See, I am pretty newbish as far as being a Trekkie goes (I have been one all my life, but I only recently started watching things other than TNG), and I have never heard of Founders. What are they?
I guess I want to specify "recently" as "within the last year," NOT "since the new movie came out." I started watching Voyager because it came on and it was neat, and then I started watching TOS because I thought I should, and someday soon I will start really watching DS-9, instead of half tuning it out as my brother watches.
Although now that the new movie has come out, I'm marathoning TOS. And then hopefully TNG if I can find download links for it. And then DS-9, and then Voyager. And then we'll see how we feel about Enterprise. ....fuckin' Enterprise.
I just go through the ABC's of the alien races, and tend to pop out with random ones. I'm sure everyone will say Vulcans, then you'll get a good smattering of Klingon and Romulan.

But anyway, yeah, you should definitely give DS9 a chance. People tend to have pretty strong feelings about it one way or another.
