The Frontier email, which is on MS Exchange, courses on the web, directory and god knows what else are still down. Been down since at least 8 AM. How can this happen? What goes wrong with a system that has been working fine to make it suddenly dysfunctional? I don't get it. I suppose the boys in Hyden decided to upgrade something and it didn't ( Read more... )

I'm glad you're taking the chance to write too!

sorry about the Exchange headache. A shame, really, since MS Exchange is such a beast.

does Frontier support a "status.frontiernursing.org" web page where users can see what the current technical issues are? that would be a good idea, since when the email server goes out there's no way to e-mail the users to tell them what's wrong...

Don't get me started on the tech support at Frontier. NOT. About noon they did post an alert on the portal page of the Banyan Tree saying that email and courses and the Directory were all inaccessible, they are working on it, forums (bulletin boards) and chat are working, and we're really sorry, blah, blah, blah.

But of course now even the portal page is not accessible and the forums and chat have gone away, too.

And it's all STILL non-functional at 8PM. That's over 12 hours and counting.

We simply cannot function without this technology!

They have finally set up a webpage apart from the regular server for updates regarding tech problems. Now they just have to read it.

Sigh.
