I think that's exactly why he turned off comments. And actually, if you read it, it's the opposite of cowardly. He wants anyone who has anything to say to tell it to his face. It's alot easier to respond to comments than real people.

Cool that everyone is taking an interest. You who are younger take lessons like this to heart. WHen you have an opportunity to make a difference (in a good way, of course. *grin*), take it. And dont just rant ineffectively about it, like I did. *self-disappointed shuffle*

My live journal is one of my sanctuaries, a place I don't wish to be a battlefield. I prefer to fight my battles in the real world.
By turning off comments, I had hoped to prevent disruption of my sanctuary. I hope you understand. I didn't expect you would feel betrayed.
