Wow. It's been a long time. Just like last time. Lemme think.... what have I done since I last wrote? I went to Hilton Head. After that LB left for Hungary and I got baptized. (That's a whole entry in itself.) Then I went to Washington, D.C. Then I went to Busch Gardens and fishing on the Chesapeake with the small group. I think the next ( Read more... )

Yeah, you know, I felt about the same way about the new Harry Potter. Especially about all that petty romance. Hey, nothing wrong with romance of course (though I'm not all that used to it in Harry Potter :/) but the petty romance really got on my nerves... It's a even rather offending that she's depicting 17-year-olds like that, since I'm not even 17 yet. >_

I gotta say, I agree entirely with your Harry Potter rating, and Batman rating.

Dr. Kramer creeped the heck out of me. Probably because one of my deep seated phobias is narcotics and losing control of my perceptions.

That's alot of things to have done this summer! Keep up the good work!

The truth be told, Harry Potter certainly wasn't up to par with the other books but I think it definitely stands out from the rest. True it was a little choppy but it answered a lot of questions from previous books and opened a lot more for the seventh year. It was short and I think Rowling just wanted to end the series with something unbelievable. 4 out of 5.

You can't judge other superheroes on conditions in which they gain their powers. You got to look at it this way...there is a one in a billion chance the scenario could happen, but we're watching or reading the person who beat the odds. No one would follow up a story about the person who didn't gain superpowers because he was one of the 999,999,999 people.

Anyway, Batman Begins was truly spectacular. Although they could have made Scarecrow a little more prominent as a villain. They certainly didn't do the comic book Scarecrow justice. 5 of 5.

true, but Batman appeals to me more because it was by his own drive and motivation, not chance occurence, that he became great
