The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe was incredible. Acting, visuals, music, script, all top notch. Definitely buying the soundtrack along with the DVD. They definitely went easy on the blood, though. While I understand they were trying to make it as kid-friendly as they could, it detracted from my suspension of disbelief. They handled redemption and sacrificial love in a particularly Christian way, and after Passion of the Christ (gag gag gag) and how our illustrious trained monkey president likes to handle faith, you can't really expect there to be no lashback against overtly Christian messages in movies.

Having said that, <3 Narnia, I'm an atheist witch that doesn't have to cockflex every time the old Judeo-Christian pantheon wants a movie or two.

Except Passion, cuz that was a stupid movie.

0.o curious as to what makes you gag about this one.

"Despite its overarching Christian themes, Narnia delivers an entertaining yarn."

So what's next? Despite my Christian values, I'm still a good person? I wasn't aware Christian themes were capable of downgrading something. Last I checked, self-sacrifice, forgiveness, love and mercy were all a part of the majority of "entertaining" yarns.
