The lights filtered through the liquid in Kara’s glass, the bubbles sparkling as they caught the light. The length of time this held her attention was a pretty decent measure of how much alcohol she had in her. The more alcohol, the more the pretty sparkling bubbles drew her in. Got a laugh out of this. Puking on the boss :)
He might have been a tad tipsy himself, if he was undressing on the dance floor.
Pity the DJ didn't play Safety Dance - Kara might have made it to the toilet
Would love to see more of the early parts of this story, if your muse takes you that way

I'm pretty sure realizing just how drunk he was was the only thing that made him human to her, instead of the pompous asshattery that Hiller was expecting. :)

Well, it would be hard to leave the earth, even if you weren't leaving anyone. Poor Kara. But it sounds like it could have been worse.
