For many years (approximately 17), I have counted my blessings that my children have been healthy and intelligent. Ohhh, yeah. When actual poop starts happening, it's bad news. Years ago when I worked at a group home, we found some dried poop in a desk drawer. Which obviously meant it'd been there a few days, which was like... how have we not opened that drawer in a few days? We had to sit all the residents down at the kitchen table, have them put their heads on the table with hands over their eyes, and the one who was responsible raised her hand. We were already pretty sure who it was, but the remarkable thing is that she raised her hand almost immediately. Seemed rather proud of herself. She pulled one over on us but good... I dunno. Your description of the strong man making sounds in your ear made me smile. You are so patient and warm hearted. These people are fortunate to have you. I'm glad you have them, too. Obviously, some of them try one's patience more than others, but there must be times you're grateful to not be a one-on-one. Particular in the case of doody duty, I would imagine.

Wow! I did not see that coming. Reading along feeling all warm and fuzzy and Wow! I can't even either!

A great and compassionately informative read! Way to go!

Oh dear... this reminds me of when I was wrangling with some of my rowdier/disruptive classes in Japan but I only had two special needs kids. I guess I was lucky that the Japanese staff dealt with the kids when they had accidents. At least it's a relief knowing some of the most disruptive students will be leaving, even if you probably can't help feel sorry for who will be working with them next.
