Omg, your icons just slay me with perfection yet again! The text use looks so effortless and really fits all the icons. Love the clear, strong fonts you chose, and what you did with the text arrangements.
10 is probably my favorite, just perfect, love the bw+color, the huge 'P' with the smaller 'i', how his face is in shadows, and the grunginess. 1 is so stellar too, superb coloring and lighting, and 5 wow at the bright, gorgeous greens in 5, it has really great use of text rotation too. I really adore everything about 11, especially the text composition and colors and how minimal the icon otherwise is, really strong, unique look. 12 is composition magic and 13 again has perfect text use, love the text box. 17 and 18 are also great examples of the amazingly creative things you did with the text in these - love how it cuts off in 17 (and the muted coloring is lovely too), and 18 is just stellar - incredible lighting and all the floating text is in such a great balance and composition, just wow :O

Gorgeous work, bb! I am definitely doing back flips (Not really because I can't do back flips but if I could I totally would be doing back flips, okay? Trust me.) every time you've used colored text over a black and white image. SUPER EFFECTIVE. SAMANTHA FAINTED. (Probably from failing at doing a back flip...)
Seriously though, 04, 10, 11, and 12 are all incredibly stunning and make up my absolute favorites of this batch. 04 is especially amazing. The crop of the image, and then the use of shadows is just really atmospheric. And then you have this really lovely cyan pi symbol in the middle that pulls it all together it a kind of magical, mystical way. I love it so much!
Wow, thank you! You dork :P I always feel like the whole color-text-on-bw-image thing is kind of lazy bc it always means I've given up making the text color look right on the bg but damn if I don't really enjoy how it looks!
Oh gods, this post is perfection. I think this is my favourite batch from you, ever. The text is exquisite and the colours, oh, the colours! Although some of the compositions are very complex, they all are perfectly balanced and elegant. I'm adding this entry to memories, so I can come back and be inspired over and over again!
