Peter was the same as he remembered--and the Lost Boys hadn't changed either. They gave Sora strange looks and sometimes Riku was treated with downright suspicion at times, since he was older looking than a proper Lost Boy should be.
"Sora, why do you keep growing up?" Tootles asked, expression serious. "You were the same age as us and now you're older..." He didn't think people, besides Pirates, grew up.
Sora looked at his friends for help, but Kairi was talking --or trying to-- talk with Tinkerbell and Riku was convincing the others that he wasn't a pirate and he'd only tricked Captain Hook into thinking he was his friend.
"I guess it's because...I'm not a Lost Boy, not really anymore," Sora said softly, looking off. His home was restored now and he did have a place to return to. He wanted to be nice about it, he really did...
Roxas had other ideas, though and Sora had a hard time keeping the words in his mind and not said out loud to this kid that was so innocent.
You're not dead like they are, Roxas said dryly, a hint of a smirk in the tone. The dead don't age, even if they are just little boys.
"I see..." Tootles didn't quite see. You didn't stop being a Lost Boy, not really. Tootles instead just smiled brightly at Sora. "You're still a Lost Boy at heart."
