my old 'hood

So is anyone watching the new J.J. Abrams show "Person of Interest"? I am intrigued but not enthralled by it, but although I never watched "Lost," I am such a huge "Fringe" fan that now I will give any JJA new show a shot...

But anyway, I was watching the new episode, and something looked familiar...

"Diner" = Enid's, y/y?

Fringe has been nothing but totally awesome since about the middle of season 1. It has crazy magic alchemy/synergy between the story lines and the actors. I don't see it going off the rails. I actually never watched previous JJA shows except Felicity, which I really liked. I could not watch Alias because Jennifer Garner irritates me. I don't know why I didn't watch Lost--perhaps one day I will watch it, the way I watched BSG, like years after it was hip.

i keep meaning to check it out but being a huge "lost" fan i'm afraid of disappointment.

that's right by mccarren pool park but it looks like the first picture, not the second now. is the bottom picture an older one?

yeah, I know where it is, I lived in Greenpoint in 2000-2001 and then again in 2004-2005...but do you mean Enid's (the bar in the bottom picture) is gone and now there is actually a place called "Diner" in its place?

That place, whatever it is called now (it was Enid's at the time) was actually the bar I went to on my very first night in New York (well not ever in New York but I mean the day that I moved there, in the summer of 2000).

I recently watched 2 seasons worth of 'Bored To Death', and probably recognized somewhere in the vicinity of 50% of the exterior location shots. I think that means I've been living in NY for too long.
