Yeah, it's stuff like this that makes me happy to be a Canadian in a secular society. Sure, we have our share of Bible thumpers, but not nearly the same magnitude as our neighbours south of the border...

yeah I know. The biggest problem I feel is simply that people who are critical and who kind this kind of thing insane are usually the kind of people who will not speak out against it for fear of offending someone's beliefs. For some reason religion and religious beliefs have become so elevated in society that even questioning them is seen to be insensitive and aggressive.

I think a lot of people need to snap out of this and get used to the idea that to say to someone who believes that the earth was created at 10PM last tuesday tea time, simply " I dont care how much faith you feel you have or how much you believe this you are simply wrong and if you cant see that then you are a fool or simply just blind". Of course I am sure that if a scientist went to a fundamentalist church and tried to say this there would be an outcry where as it is taken as perfectly fine for someone to come up to me on the street and preach to me that I am a sinner and that if I dont change my was I will be doomed. The asymmetry seems insane to me
