Meditation on Hobbies

I wish I knew how to sew so I could make fabulous clothes. It would solve my current predicament of loving clothes but being poor as a church mouse. The only problem that I anticipate would be that I don't do things by halves when it comes to my hobbies. You're okay. I make some of my own clothes and it's usually *almost* as expensive as buying in the store - assuming you are a bargain shopper when it comes to clothes. For instance, a dress I made to wear to a friend's wedding (although it didn't fit since I was five months pregnant at the time and had begun to...um...swell, cost me nearly $50 for nice material, zipper, I already had matching thread, boning, etc.

But it was fun! If you'd ever like to borrow anything (I have all sorts of doodads), let me know.

By the way, that dress might fit you quite well. It's just over knee length, royal blue satiny material, with a black lace overlay. Sleeveless with the lace but the dress itself is strapless. About a size 6. It's made slightly incorrectly but you probably won't be able to notice as the thing I did wrong is hidden inside the bodice.
