Some of you may recall I am fascinated by names; indeed I am compiling my own book of (Celtic) names, I am reading Lark Rise to Candleford by Flora Thompson and came across this intriguing (to me) passage; I found it interesting

HA! Awesomeness, Alicia. At least they had the basic correct names... ugh. Some of the names folks come up with these days make me cringe.

I'm glad you enjoyed that. Yes, I don't have much fondness for made-up names, I love names with a lot of history behind them, or hippie nature names like Holly, lol. I love French names as middle names. Sometimes I feel sad Holly will be my only child because I'll never get to use Patrick or Anna/Anastasia. But at least I can turn those names into character names! :) Or even cats' names!
