Wow. I'll start with the clothes thing. Aubrey has been the same way but the opposite of K for the past 2 years. She will only wear skirts and dresses and no pants. I can manage a pair of pants on her but only if they are knit, with no buttons, ruffles or anything on them. Never jeans. Drives me nuts because I can't buy for her without her approval or I waste my money. This was the 1st summer she's worn shorts, and only the Gymbo bike shorts because I forced her to. I've since given up on buying for her and now Im fine with it. Our kids are so independent, they like what they like, and now I've learned to pick my battles. Clothing preference is not something I need to battle her about at this age..wait until high school though I'm sure ( ... )

I think your gut is telling you to at least talk to her teacher and pediatrician about this. See what they have to say. I miean it can't hurt to have her evaluated. I am the only one of my siblings not diagnosed with ADD or ADHD. I don't believe I was either, other issues sure but not that one. The sooner you address this sort of thing and figure out how to make Katarina's school career wonderful for her, the better off I do believe she'll be. Let's not forget that ADD or ADHD does not always mean medicine, it also means learning how to cope with them and teach them. My mom has been through all this a lot and I've seen how helpful it can be to get in early and address issues, it really does do a world of good.

I think your a great mom for even considering this so early, it's hard to think that your child could have any sort of issue but in reality, everyone needs help at some point.
