Voices of Authority

So we're going to go find the Valar and beg them for help against Morgoth, except that in this 'verse even the Valar are pretty much assholes. Yay for horribly bad ideas!

And G'Kar has decided there's a club for all the cool Non-Centauri kids and he wants in. Cute.

...I cannot be the only one who hears "ORWELL! ORWELL!" everytime someone mentions the Ministry of Peace.

"when we rewrote the dictionary"? Is this 1984 IN SPACE now?

And for a woman who's apparently rewritten a dictionary, her attempts at seduction are...skin crawlingly awful.

"You're about to go where everyone has gone before". Ooo, are we feeling a little Trek envy, B5? You should be feeling Buffy!Envy, I've spotted several BtVS actors abouncing around B5 so far.

OMG REVENGE OF ULTIMA VIII!

...I really am getting to admire G'Kar.

Dust to Dust

It's Chekov! *waves* HI EVIL CHECKOV!

And another way-the-fuck-over-the-top maniacal guy! Wow. He totally can rip those internet cables up. Guess they weren't important, the lights stayed on.

Vir! Glad to see you again Vir! What the fuck are you doing here, Vir?

Oh, G'Kar. And you were doing so well, too.

*laughs* Evil!Chekov, I like you. Especially because you do tend to have a point. It'd be nice to find out you're not a bad guy.

and we get a tour of Londo's past, and the Vorlon ...saves? G'kar. Or something.

Aw, Bester. the 'humans first' position is just so parochial. You've more in common with a Minbari telepath than a non-telepathic human.

G'luck, G'kar.

Exogenesis

Oh fucking ew. Dear Babylon 5: if you really hate being compared to Star Trek so much, stop doing plots already seen on Star Trek. Especially ones that creeped me out the first time.

Ivanova invites lieutenant into her quarters for coffee. Lieutenant looks like he's been asked to handle live, large, and very irritable cobras. Smaaaart lieutenant.

...In a science fiction series, in Marcus Cole we have someone who seems to firmly believe he's working in the suburbs just outside Camelot. I like him totally for the sheer mental disconnect that happens every time he opens his mouth - and man, he never shuts up.

Poor lieutenant. A forty credit embarrassing mistake.

Oh...it isn't a rehash. Interesting. I was half expecting it to end in a bloodbath. Yay for one episode of minimal douchebaggery.

...I typed that pre-roses. *facepalms* STUPID FREAKIN' MONKEYS.

Messages From Earth

Ah. So now we know it's humans that woke up the Shadows, and also that the human government and psicor are working with them.

Dude. Captain. When you plan to declare war on your own government, it is NOT 'your decision alone' to make. Everyone under your command gets hit with that. Prick.

And the spies are ready to move.

I am really having some issues with the way other cultures are depicted lately on this show. Like...the Minbari hate Sheridan until the plot makes Earth untrustworthy, and then suddenly the Minbari don't really have an issue with Sheridan anymore and follow him like good little redshirts.
