Shadow Dancing
There better be a good reason for evoking disco with that title, I'm just saying.
Oh hey. Are we actually going to have a battle? The first I'd heard of a lot of the battles was when Sheridan wanted to discern a pattern. THEN there were these red dots all over the place, but I still don't know what worlds those were, who owns the territory the refugees are fleeing to, or in fact who the refugees ARE.
Seriously. While watching someone as they sleep is not the WORST pre-dating ritual I've heard of, and I can see the point, my initial reaction is still "oh, THAT's not creepy."
Franklin, for a doctor, you really suck at the entire 'treat thyself' idea. From your idea of how best to cope with drug withdrawal, to, now, how to move with a giant stab wound in your gut. You're not impressing me.
*sigh* bad writing again. We don't know WHERE this system is, or even what it's called, or why anything to do with it.
...and hallucination!Franklin is blunt. I like him. Although honestly, I do not regard fainting as 'running away'. At least, not a controllable form of it.
And when you end an episode with the current love interest meeting someone who describes themself as the lead's wife, someone's making shitloads of trouble. Given that Delenn was very clear about what she wanted, and up to now Sheridan has not been portrayed as (too much of) a douchebag, I'm going to make the guess that either he was very sure (for whatever reason) that Anna was dead, or Anna forgot to put the word 'ex' in front of the word 'wife'.
Z'ha'dum
And at last we reach Not!Moria.
Seriously. Your wife wants to take you on a trip to the Shadow homeworld. That she's ALIVE at all suggests she's not herself. You're an idiot though, so you're probably going to go, aren't you?
Oh you stupid fucker. GET A TELEPATH TO SCAN HER. What is with everyone on this show and NOT CALLING THE TELEPATHS?
And you're blaming Delenn. Delenn, who was sure enough in her beliefs to risk HER heart to be with you. This is going to be a really teeth-gnashing episode to watch, I see.
stupid fucker. Of course she'd have denied you the right to make that choice. You're making very blatantly clear that your head isn't what's doing the decisionmaking in this instance, she'd be doing you a damn FAVOR.
Oh did you get lucky. The doctor found something suspicious. Tsk tsk Shadows.
HI DON'T MIND US WIFE WE ARE CHATTIN IN CODESPEAK AND PASSING THINGS FROM PALM TO PALM LIKE SEKRIT FOLK DO. Sheridan, is your wife an idiot? Do you really think ...oh wait. You're the star of the show. *handwave* Never mind. Your wife is an idiot with a doctorate. Right.
Sheridan. You're a moron. You're the star of the show so I'm sure everything will work out all right and you'll be a legendary hero. BUT YOU ARE A GODDAMNED MORON. Your logic does not resemble Earth logic or in fact anybody else's logic. TROLLS would not touch what is passing in you for logic. Be honest, man. You're going BECAUSE EVERYONE WITH AN OUNCE OF BRAINS OR CARING FOR YOU TOLD YOU NOT TO GO. And ...let's be real here. You're enough of a Standard White Male Hero that doing what you're told is just not in your bloodstream. If you'd figured it out for yourself, of course you wouldn't go. But because people TOLD you not to go, you have to go. Dimwit.
*sigh* "Nexus" is this show's word for "opening credits star" isn't it. I suppose in this at least I can't complain, really, DS9 did the same thing, so that I prefer one over the other is just that; personal preference.
Ah. Yes. Now that the trap has sprung you just have to survive. You're good at that. Plus, opening credits first listing.
You're going to nuke the Shadow homeworld? ....If they actually let you do that I will admit being impressed.
For races that thrive on creating conflict, I suppose it's no surprise that they suck balls at gentle persuasion.
hm.
Okay. So. Sheridan is apparently-dead having essentially punched the Shadows in the balls. Garibaldi is...probably at this point being mindwiped to be like Morden and Anna. And the war is paused because the Eye of Sauron - I mean the Shadows - just took a hit.
...So. I'm guessing that Sheridan pops back up within the next three episodes?
