Responsibility

I'm not even sure where to place the responsibility. I lent the camera. The person I lent it to set it next to his drink. Someone spilled his drink onto my camera. Where do you place the blame?/responsibility. I don't feel like it's all my fault because I shouldn't have trusted my camera to anyone else. Hell, I don't feel like I'm at fault at ( Read more... )

well.. i have a very expensive camera myself. and i don't even let my mom use it half the time..lol.i would have checked to see where it was so it wasn't placed recklessly where potential harm could have been done. i have let some ppl use it and take pictures with it but i make sure right after they take a picture, they put it right back into my hands very safely.i'm not saying i don't trust them, i just like to keep my expensive things in safe hands, preferably mine. lol... i would say it was both the person who borrowed it and the drink holder's fault. they shouldn't have set it somewhere with potential danger and the drink holder shouldn't have been stupid enough to spill it...just merely my opinion. hope i somewhat helped you out!! and no you aren't to blame mr. carl dunn....

oh yeh! i forgot..if i had enough money, i would help you get another one. but sadly, working a part-time job, running track, school, getting stuff ready for college, and my prostituting on the side tends to bind up the money ratios. the money from the whoring just goes to the pimps i whore with...lol.

its not like someone purposely damaged the camera. i know in situations like this it seems to make things better when there is someone to place the blame on, i wouldn't care if someone did it on purpose or not, i would still blame them for not being careful enough, i think thats just human nature ( ... )

Im sorry carl but tanner said that you were blaming everyone there as if it were everyones fault, however "BEER" was the substance spilled on it, and i was sitting next to you on the other side of the fire packing your "bigcock" when tanner says hey carl someone just spilled beer on your camera, from there i dont know what anyone said or did all i know was i wasnt near your camera, and i am sorry for it happening but i have had things like that happen to me before and i've let it ruin friendships and i just wanted to divert you anger to some one but to it actually happening, i didnt mean to piss you off or be a dick i meant nothing more than to be your friend. micah

that should have said "not to someone but to it actually happening"

because you cannot trust anyone with anything.

sure it sucks what happened and all involved should be sorry for whatever parts they played, but unless you signed a contract or agreed verbally with tanner that he would be explicitly responsible for any damage incurred to the camera while it was in his care, then what are you going to do.

it was a random set of events from a variety of people. it wasn't done on purpose. i'm sure they'd all help you out replacing it if they could (if you weren't so freaking pissed about it), but you know that they can't really.

there's no use crying over spilled beer. it won't bring your camera back and it will only push your friends away.

i totally see where you're coming from, however, what i can do is ask for apologies and to chip in on a new camera. it's not like i'm gonna go and beat anyone up with my bat over it.

when it comes down to pushing you friends away, it's always possible that it's better to have pushed them away because maybe they weren't good enough friends after all, not that this is one of those situations. i care very much about everyone involved.
