the 300

so, i saw the 300 tonight. it was alright, though there were a few things that made me "wtf?"

first of all, the spartan wardrobe. lol leather speedos for two hours. no seriously, it looks incredibly uncomfortable. wicked cool cloaks though.

then there was all that talk about "no softness, no weakness, only hardness" etc. spartans are meant to be

They put masks on the Immortals to cover up the fact that they were Orcs from Lord of the Rings! Copycats!

seriously.

and the history channel told me that the "immortals" were not even that cool to begin with. no warty skin or pointy teeth or anything. not even extra cool fighting skills (they had wicker shields for crying out loud. WICKER!). only reason theyre called the "immortals" is because the fighting force was kept at 10,000 no matter what. as in, one guy dies...he is immediately replaced by another.
