feelin' crummy

The pharmacology test was killer. I feel really really worried about this one. I've never blanked on so many questions before. I know I should be happy that its over, but I just can't be. The fear of having done really bad just overrides the relief that I'm done. I'm also having this intense guilt that I didn't learn things as well as I should have ( Read more... )

Pharm is icky no matter how you look at it! The good news is there are always books and extracerebral sources of info to look things up in. It doesn't have to stay all up in your head :)

Not knowing anything for clinics. Yeah that described 99% of us when we hit the floor. I still can't retain the pharm stuff and that blasted NAVLE is days away. You will eventually learn the 10 or 15 drugs you use when you use them on a routine basis and run to Plumb's if something weird comes up.

I'm sure you aren't expected to know everything once you are a vet. In any other job, you really start learning the most useful stuff once you are working.

Our vet always looks in books and on the internet. But that may be because he isn't used to having a large bird on the table trying to eat his white coat.

I'm finishing up my freshman year at FAU in Boca Raton but I'm transferring to Santa Fe Community College up in Gainesville, because I'd like to get my AA and go to UF for their Veterinary College!
