Ah, a minor victory! I went in to speak to Tom, having done what I thought he wanted me to do... I said "blah", he said "I dunno..." I said, "But this is why blah!" and Tom said, "Do I believe that?.... Yes, I believe that." Not a total idiot today!

It is cold, cold, cold. And early. Naptime! Hahaha.

It amuses me that both the Zwiebach string theory book and the basic mechanics text for the course I'm TAing start with "Length, Mass, Time"... Though I guess that should be obvious. Still, it amuses me.

Not to say that other forms of Physics *aren't* hard. I'm sure I would suffer just as much if I had to stare pathetically at large metal objects, but as it happens, I stare pathetically at pages stuffed with squiqqly lines and tensors.

It occured to me that statement might smack of some sort of superiority, which was not at all the intent.

I have made the most astonishing discovery in attempting to begin doing theoretical Physics: theoretical Physics is *hard*.

Dur.
