Need a baby-sitter? Save time!

When I was a kid I loved, loved, LOVED the baby-sitters club. I had a whole bunch of the books, the game, and several of the videos. A little while ago I stumbled across a blog that made fun of the books and I really enjoyed reading those entries and reminising about the books. From there I found a few LJ communities and started to follow them, and ( Read more... )

God, I loved those books... I remember being in fourth grade and conning the librarian into letting me check out BSC books even though they were supposed to be for fifth graders and above only. I'd love the link to that blog, if you still have it. And Claudia was always my favorite because she was quirky. lol

Sure! It's http://claudiasroom.blogspot.com/
She updates it every Monday.
There's also a LJ community that makes fun of the covers. It's BSCcovertocover or something like that.

Oh, I just loved the Baby Sitters Club when I was younger. I used to have tons of the books. I don't know what happened to them, but I know I still have a few.

Are you going to bother with the Baby Sitters Little Sisters books? The ones about Kristy's little step-sister? Karen, I think. They are soooo bad. I think every one of them starts out with a listing of every pet she ever had and a rant on how she loves Jacob Two Two books. Utter crap. Everything else Baby Sitter related, however, is fabulous.

No! I'm not planning on collecting those! My sister used to read them so there was a bunch my mom tried to give me. I remember chapter two was always called "Big House, Little House" where she talked about her two houses and families and her pets and stuffed animals and blah, blah, blah. It's even worse than the chapter 2's of the BSC books where they describe each club member. I always skip that stuff, and the stuff about how the club works.
