My eyes had a very bad day yesterday. Something went wrong when I took out my contact lenses thursday night (I fell asleep in them for a couple hours and they were vey dry), and in a couple hours my eyes were in awful pain. Like something was stuck in them but wouldn't come out. I'm at Winslow's, and he took me to the emergency room at 5am on ( Read more... )

i know exactly how that feels. the same thing happened to me in high school and it happened at school and by the time i figured i needed to go to the nurse i had to have someone walk me there cos i couldn't see a god damn thing. then to the doctor and the eye doctor and getting sick with a headache and ugh, it sucked. your lucky they gave you painkillers i didn't get any of that shit, just the drops :( Get some nice frames when you get your new glasses :) and if you gotta wear the white lab coat, then u gotta rock the specs man :)

Aw, that sucks. I had a headache too from all the eye strain, and to top it off I got nauseous and threw up on the side of the highway on the way back from the eye doctor...I hadn't thrown up in years! Do you still wear contacts? They say I can't wear mine for at least 2 weeks. Anyway, I just came back from Perle Vision at the mall where I got a new perscription for glasses and they'll be ready tomorrow. I think I picked good frames, but it's hard to tell when I can't see unless my nose is 4 inches from the mirror! Indeed, I think they'll go nicely with my lab coat. :)

hey fun, I can only see about 4 inches away from my face too.

and I have an appt to go see the eye doctor on tuesday, so hopefully (knock on wood) I don't do something horrific to my eyes with my contacts before then. I do, however, have the 'night and day' contacts which are better for sleeping in (let more oxygen in than normal contacts), although I try not to sleep in them, regardless of what the FDA says.

hope your eyes feel better soon!

Wow, contacts you can sleep in? I never heard of that, cool. Have fun at the eye doctor, I'll probably cancel my appointment and reschedule it for a couple weeks later...the optometrist at Perle Vision said it will be at least 2 weeks before I can wear contacts again. It's weird, I haven't worn glasses since 9th grade!

They do feel better now, thanks. :>
