I must say I like the new political bent that you have been leaning toward of late (at least, in your journal). It is true that people really do want more plenty than they can reasonably enjoy. It's so ironic that we are willing to sacrifice our enjoyment time in order to acquire it. Backwards indeed.

Of course, before I get too excited about this, I should really consider why I am going to work for a company where the average work-week is 50-60 hrs.

Ouch.

Well, the world of the futurists is presumably built upon greater technology and computerizations making life easier for everyone...except possibly the computer programmers. Thanks for taking one for the team. ;)

After a few years of work, can't you just become a consultant, charge much more, and set your own hours anyways?
