bwahaha... totally wasn't expecting that to be the punch line.
Really, though, that article has gotten me rethinking what it is that gives a human our sense of self a.k.a. our consciousness a.k.a. our spirit a.k.a. our soul. I wish their were a similar account in which someone described what it felt like to have the right side of their brain go dead. She described losing the boundaries between self and the universe, in which her soul felt limitless. Would a right brain failure instead feel as if the entire universe collapsed and all existed within one's own body?
