Intercon massage question

I've been pondering hauling the massage chair down to Intercon and browbeating the Con Chair into letting me set up in a corner of the Con Suite (space allowing).  The question is how many people would be interested in having seated massage available at the Con?  Typically seated massage runs a dollar a minute with a standard routine of ten minutes ( Read more... )

I think you should charge *and* put out a tip jar. Guarantees a minimum at least. (Despite what MH keeps asserting, I am firm believer in capitalism :)) And yeah, I'd be interested...

::nods in concurrence:: You're a professional. You could choose to offer a discounted "Convention Special" rate. (Or not.)

FWIW, Intercons in Boston have had chair massage (for going rate) for several years.

Seriously - I do think it is a good idea. It has been done up in Boston and I know I took advantage of the opportunity there. I don't see a problem with your charging either, you are doing this as a service, much like any vendor. The only difference is that your service doesn't need a bag to carry it away. You could try the tip jar, but there would be a whole lot of "my money is in my room I bring something down later".
