I was interviewed at Community Fridays about my writing career. The interviewer, Emma Larkins, asked if I would do the interview after one of the panels I was on at the Capclave SF Convention.

Like many others, I'm having fun with the "puppy" issue at the White House. CNN ran a segment on presidential pets. Here's a listing of all presidential Read more... )

I'll look forward to reading the interview if it's available online.

I expect Secret Service'll be working overtime during Obama's term.

Good thing is one of the early attempts got ratted out by people who knew the would-be perpetrators. Skinheads and KKK aren't normally known for being methodical, logical, well-equipped, and well-connected.

Skinheads and KKK definitely often are not too bright. The recent assassination attempt I linked to above was unraveled because one of the two idiots - and I use that term charitably, since they were way beyond idiotic - had a swastika drawn on his pickup truck. That's a rather effective way to draw attention!

It was great to have you on my blog, Larry. You provided a wealth of information that should keep me busy for the next couple of months sifting through it :) Now I just need to sign up for some of those excellent workshops (and maybe plan my OWN sabbatical!)

Cheers, Emma

Glad it was helpful. Take that sabbatical, even if it's only for a one-week workshop. But if at all possible, you should go to Odyssey or one of the Clarions. I recommend Odyssey because you get an instructor who stays with you all six weeks (Jeanne Cavelos); at Clarion, there's a new instructor each week.
