He didn’t like the feeling that everything could end here for him, and no one would remember what she really meant to him, because no one knew...He was going to make a last stand here, something that would likely be remembered as somewhere between bravery and suicide, but he knew it was perhaps the most cowardly decision of his life.
Truth in all of that. MOL is bearing down on me as well, guess I better get writing. Oh and the rewatch. ARGH!!!

I love how you made this arc just about Laura and Bill because there was so much action-y stuff (shooting! running! grenades!) going on plus the stuff with Gaius and Tom and the cylons, it's nice to just look at through the lens of Bill and Laura's feelings for each other and how much they personally had on the line in this arc.
This especially stood out for me:
She still staying in your quarters?
Now Lee would know the answer.
Yes.
I’m sleeping with her.
I love her.
That’s how it is.
Simple and powerful and very Bill. It perfectly sums up what that kiss was all about.
The whole section about Laura playing every card with the cylons is fantastic. It's Laura at her cold calculating best, right down to playing on Tory's little secret. So good.
And this:
It wouldn’t take that much to bring her down.
Just like you.It took me right back to the sickbay scene where she tells Bill that he's losing both of his women. *sniff ( ... )

Ok, I just died laughing. If you read that as 'colon' colons and not grammar colons *headdesk*
Thanks so much, it makes me ridiculously happy that you liked this. I was so affected by re-watching that initial scene where Laura boards the baseship. She has very little time to convince the Cylons that they need to stay. The desperation of that scene compared to Laura after Revelations really hit me hard.
I love that you caught the bit about Galactica and Laura.
And, you know, I loved all that action ... Kara as the Kara we knew, Lee with a purpose, the fact that I could have easily agreed with Zarek and Gaeta early on, but it was really nice to focus on A/R (felt like coming home a bit to right for them again after ship swap).

*avoids Anne's steely glare*
But I know why you put the note there. I always feel bad when I ignore perfectly sound advice in favor of how something looks or feels.

I don't read for that shit the first time!

He could feel the pounding of her heart. It reminded him that this might be the last time he would ever hear or feel it, the last time he’d kiss her like this, so soon after the first.
THIS. Oh man, I was a goner as soon as I read this line. THIS got the tears flowing, and they did not stop until the very end.

I'm with you on the mutiny arc; I really felt that I got my show back with those eps, and I've wanted to write stuff around them for a long time. It really struck me how it must have felt for Laura, to be told once again that she'd lost someone, and then, this time, to get him back.
Thank you for the lovely comments!

And this, oh, such a great touch:
In the end, it was Tory who held her up.
Gah. So much love for this. Just fabulous.

I swear I had four other lines at the end of this section and I just couldn't make myself happy. Then I went out to get my daughter from school, and I'm standing watching her on the playground and this pops into my head. I liked it especially as I'm very guilty of not liking Tory, lol.
I'n so happy you liked this, you have no idea :).

the mutiny is one of my fav arc if not my fav of all! i'm so glad you wrote this!
i dunno what to highlight because every word is beautiful! and that part about tory...She had been the same machine then as now, even if neither of them had known and In the end, it was Tory who held her up. it's just perfect!
i♥laura so much

I couldn't agree with you more! There's such beauty in the tragedy of these two that just makes my heart ache (and keeps me coming back :) ).
The mutiny had me on the edge of my seat; I loved it! And Tory ... I'm so happy you liked those moments. I feel like I haven't been very good to Tory in fic. Thanks so much for the wonderful comments!
