Well, some people think if he's a different species, then we wouldn't capable of successful breeding since that's the usual definition but mainly, I think that they like ANGST and DRAMA!
As for the number of kids thing...
A. People raised as only children or with one other sibling often like to imagine what it would be like with more and usually end up having 2 or more themselves...
B. I never thought of 3 or more as being a lot because I was the youngest of three. My brother has three children. His wife was one of four. We're not like Mormon or Catholic by a long-shot but not every area embraces 1.2 kids.
My parents have had four children each (two from each spouse), and my mother said even four was hard on her (my little sister and I had to be taken early because the doctor's were scared on what would happen should she try a natural birth). Childbirth is hard on every woman, so I don't see how fanfiction writers can put Rose through 5 or more pregnancies. I think 2 is a nice even number, 3 is ok, but more is pushing in in my opinion.
The number of children a woman wants/has is very YMMV. One was enough for me. My sister stopped at three. My mother has six and my sister-in-law has seven.
I really don't like fics where the author has made basic human appliances seem too complicated for the Doctor to figure out. Especially toasters since those are ridiculously simple. Trying to make appliances more sophisticated, I can accept (though I don't really like the trope), but having him unable to fix one is just plain OOC.
I dunno about laundry. I can see it either way.
We definitely need to see more people being offended by Ten. He's very rude.
Sterility makes sense for Time Lords because they reproduced using a non-sexual method that involved looms (see "Lungbarrow"). Slightly tangential, the Time Lords are a long-lived species and those tend not to reproduce quickly.
I've never seen a rewrite of Family of Blood with Rose in which the Doctor still falls for the Matron. Huh.
-If the Doctor can re-wire a TARDIS and do maintenance on it, he can fix regular household appliances. That's what I don't understand xD Maybe they're going for comedic relief?
- Not all the rewrites do this (in fact, most don't), but the few that do I don't understand. Maybe they're sticking to canon? Idk.
Pythia came up during one of Four's eps, I think (Brain of Morbius), and I thought the curse was mentioned there, but it looks like it might be more in the Lungbarrow book(s).
1. Personally, I always thought if the Doctor was let loose in a kitchen he'd prefer the bigger appliances. You know, mincrowave, oven or even the fridge....
2. Given it was the 60's - 70's. It was probably assumed his 'assisstant' did his washing for him. Not that I'm being rude.
3. YES YES YES!! TEN NEEDS MORE SLAPS! From Rose, Martha and Jack especially.
4. Someone else said it, that the number of kids is very much different for everyone. Some people want large families others want small. I could actually see the Doctor wanting 3 or 4, due to the loneliness factor. No clue about the curse thing though, except what I've read in fic and on the net.
5. Yeah, I've seen that happen too. And I admit I haven't got the faintest clue. It seems ridiculous.

Plus, somehow I can just imagine Ten2 running around with a bunch of kids because he would get along with them so well (he's just a big kid himself!)
BUT, If I ever get around to writing my post JE stuff, I think even I would stop at 4 kids...idk. I guess its just opinion.
Everything else you mentioned, I am just as confused about.
