This post is for Dano:

I just listened to the new Radiohead album. It's great because 1. I can tell the album is good and 2. I'm not into it yet. That's always a good sign because it means it's going to last. I won't burn out on it in the first week; there's still a lot to hear and a lot to get out of it.

Yeah. I actually like other versions of Videotape that I've heard a little better. There was one where the drums come in at the end, and it was pretty bad ass. And then there was one with just Thom playing piano, and I think that was the best version I had heard.

I can't decide about Reckoner just yet.

we've been listening to the thom solo one for a while. it's hard for me to imagine it any other way.

Yeah I really love how Radiohead isn't good when you listen to them until you've listened to them long enough to have made up a reason to pretend they're not shit

Nah, that's not it. It's the same way I was with Songs for the Deaf, and a lot of other albums. They're sort of difficult to get into upon first listen, but something happens when you start noticing why each song is unique, or some special segment you missed before.
