Too funny girl. I loved it. Love the icon too. Priceless. Never enough humor in the world. :)

When I watch Empire, I'm always expecting Yoda to be more sarcastic when Obi-Wan is being all destiny-eyed and such. I always wanted him to say 'no, Kenobi, there's a lot of fucking people in a galaxy'.

I wonder if Yoda realized that all his efforts with Skywalker would basically amount to a distraction for Vader and Palpatine, and that the real battle would be won by Ewoks and the Rebels in Ackbar's fleet.

Haha! That would have been great, a cantankerous old Yoda.

As for the second part, yes he did provide a bit of a distraction, but then again, Palpatine was prepared. If I remember it correctly, it was a trap to destroy the Rebel fleet. Could it be said, then, that Luke was just a distraction? Also, Palpatine had to go anyway. Okay, I'm trying to remember what it said in the novelization (yes, I am such a dork) but I think that with the emperor dead, the cohesiveness of the Imperial forces decreased, as he was no longer exerting his influence on them?

I love being a dork at times.

I'm glad you liked it. This was actually my first foray into humour and I was a little unsure if it was too silly. I'm thinking about writing more humour shorts when the muse strikes me... There is a possibility for an alternate (paradoy) look at the "Join Me" scene in ESB in the near future.
