Here's the console charts for the Christmas period. Considering that in the UK, the number one selling game was the utterly dreadful King Kong, a game where you just walk around for a bit throwing sticks at things and wondering where your £40 went, it's safe to say we can ignore the Western charts and concentrate on the Japanese market

Heh. I've never been a gamer and probably never will be, but even I could tell in advance that the Xbox would be a total stinker. At least the Japanese were also smart enough to see that, and stuck to what's good, while those silly Americans handed over their cash for overhyped crap. :P

Microsoft knew starting out that the Japanese weren't going to choose that console over its own, perfectly good, established companies. Doesn't stop them from trying though, the poor ducks.

My son hasnt put down his DS since he got it (except when I force him to obviously, I'm not *that* bad a mother!) so I think this is testiment to just how good your computing advice is!

Yes, well, we all knew that. Once I manage to get the DS hooked up online via my other half's wireless router, you'll have to surgically remove me from my DS.
