on october 24, 2006, phantasy star universe [psu] will be released to the public. any of you who know nothing about this game, allow me to attempt to convince you that it MIGHT not suck.
firstly, if you're not a fan of the series, or you just didn't like PSO, this game might not be for you. it's a AORPG [action online rpg], which basically means that you control every swing of your sword, every cast of a spell, and every use of an item in the game. you have a short, regular, and hard attack button, which you can use to run combos on your enemies. combos can be lengthened by gaining certain abilities, blah blah blah.
race is chosen at the beggining of the game, but that's about it. at any time during the game you are allowed to change your class. while using a class on a mission, you gain class xp, and your class levels go up. what makes this game different than FFXI is one specific thing; eventually, you won't have to swicth classes anymore. over time you will be able to develop a perfectly customized multiclass character that will have the abilities that you have gained from collecting class exp. sad because your hunter can no longer cast spells? FUCK IT! :D train your caster class up and watch your hunter beat ass. hunters with casting are just too good. they can deal massive damage with melee weapons, use pistols to take out air enemies, cast heal, damage, and REZ spells...what the fuck? why would i play any other class?
BUT WAIT! IT HAS A LOBBY SYSTEM!!
so what? pso became what it was becuase of that lobby system. the lobby system, while very similar, has been revamped severely as well. firstly, the lobby will be absolutely huge. sales, purchasing, and grouping can all be started here. basically it's your MMO equivalent of a city, it's just way more convinient.
so you've started a party. you have the max number of characters [6] and you're ready to beat some alien ass. cool beans! there are 3 planets [not including the spaceship/lobby which is massive in itself] and multiple zones to explore. you and your group are transported to this planet to kill multitudes of monsters and gain rare items, money, and experience. at the end of your mission with your group you will recieve a group ranking based on how you all performed as a whole, and you will get different perks based on that performance such as xp and money.
player controlled vehicles, three huge worlds, and enough content to keep you entertained for quite a while. what do you have to lose? monthly fees will probably be like 10 bucks, and even if you hate the game you can always get your money out of the single player game and shut the fuck up :3

my computer works again! thanks to PACHI, who is fucking awesome, i now have a monsterous, green-glowing box which supllies my computer with the ULTIMATE POWER...uh...energy :/
i've been drawing again. hopefully i can find my uplink wire for my cam. once that happens, i'll show you guys what me and my pencil/pen/prismas have been up to recently.
other than that i'm just as bored as i could possibly be. school's really simple, but i guess that's what i was expecting. my car works, my computer works, and i STILL don't have anything to do, haha.
i need to get out of this town for at least a few hours. this place breeds and thrives on boredom and increasingly noticable insanity.
ah well. maybe i'll just play WoW :PPP

[Tasteful Original Deliberate Prissy]
One is certain: you have great taste and plenty of ideas. You have clearly defined beliefs about what's good and what's bad in fashion but they are far from banal. Stylish and imaginative, you prefer to inspire admiration than to shock and you mostly succeed. Even if sometimes you'd like to have more courage to put on something absolutely outrageous you do great job in creating a unique look that others look up to. There is a possibility that you work in the fashion industry. If you don't, perhaps you should.
The opposite style from yours is Bar Cruiser [Flamboyant Conventional Random Sexy].
