It's raining. As soon as I saw the storm clouds gathering I lwft my cubicle and went outside to bask in the impending gloom. I love the period right before a storm, when the air is heavy and the wind picks up and the world hovers in anticipation. If I could I would go outside again now and dance in the downpour, but that's not really acceptable

The lilacs have been blooming like mad here these last few weeks. Lovely, really lovely.

Today, unfortunately, it is hot and still and slightly muggy. Overbearing weather, and without the hint of a storm. Alas.

My first few months here, it rained almost every day. I miss that. It's only rained a handful of times in the last month. May is supposed to be the rainy season here, but so far it's been pretty dry. Sadly, as the lilacs are complaining.

When do you leave for Italy?
